Dr Felix Tan has been practising dentistry since 1985. He is the current owner of Hobart Place Dental, which was established by Dr Colin Watson in 1965. The dental clinic is still situated in Canberra’s iconic AMP Building (1 Hobart Place, Canberra City). Dr Felix has been in Canberra since 1987. As a highly experienced dentist in Canberra, Dr Felix is passionate about ensuring that patients receive top dental care and value for money. Over the past few years, Dr Felix has developed an interest in better understanding the diseases that affect people’s dental health as they age. Away from work, Dr Felix enjoys gardening, travel, architectural design, and music festivals. He takes great pride in growing his own organic vegetables and repurposing unwanted items into garden ornaments and structures. You could say that Dr Felix is into sustainability and recycling.

Dr Elaine graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2015. She has worked in the public and private dental health sectors in Victoria and New South Wales. Prior to joining Hobart Place Dental, she spent three years in a coastal town south of Sydney. Dr Elaine is trained in all aspects of general dentistry – making her an integral part of our dental clinic in Canberra City. Dr Elaine has a very warm, friendly, and calm personality; she is passionate about dental care. She likes to get to know a patient, explain treatment options, and educate them about good oral health. Dr Elaine is particularly good with anxious patients and children – she ensures they feel relaxed and happy throughout treatment. In between caring for teeth, Dr Elaine enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at home with a good movie and a cup of tea, travelling, fishing, camping and snowboarding. Dr Elaine is a dedicated Canberra dentist who leads a full life.
