Nazariy Novak is an experienced Oral Health Therapist. He focuses on improving his patients’ long-term dental health. He builds strong relationships and provides personalised care. His goal is to help patients feel comfortable and supported. Nazariy was born in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine. He moved to Australia in 2006. His passion for dentistry started early. His mother worked as a dental nurse, which inspired him. He also liked healthcare’s community focus. Determined to help others, he earned a Bachelor of Oral Health Science from La Trobe University in Bendigo, Victoria. After graduating, he returned to university to study dentistry further. Nazariy helps patients improve their oral health and feel confident in their smiles. He is great at easing dental anxiety. Even nervous patients feel relaxed with him. He creates a calm and welcoming space. This helps people overcome their fears and visit the dentist regularly.

Chloe Smith is an Oral Health Therapist here at Coastal Dental Care, bringing five years of dedicated experience caring for patients across South Australia, Tasmania, and now Queensland. Over the course of her rewarding career, she has had the privilege of working in a diverse range of clinical settings, including rural, specialist clinics, and general dental practices. This broad exposure has allowed her to develop a highly adaptable, comprehensive, and well-rounded approach to modern patient care, while simultaneously allowing her to build strong, meaningful relationships with individuals from all walks of life.

Dr Lachlan Barlow is a Gold Coast local who grew up and studied on the coast. He is a friendly and compassionate dentist with a special interest in restorative and cosmetic cases. Lachlan graduated from Griffith University with Academic Excellence in his Bachelor of Oral Heath in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. He strives to continually expand his knowledge base and attends the latest dental courses. Dr Lachlan’s priority is to ensure his patients are in the best possible hands. In particular, Dr Barlow has had further training in the areas of dental implants and advanced prosthodontics procedures. Lachlan takes great care to explain all options and procedures available. As well, he aims to make his patients’ dental experience as comfortable as possible.

Melena graduated from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, in 2019. She obtained a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Oral Health, and proudly graduated at the top of her class. Her dedication to academic excellence and passion for healthcare set a strong foundation for her career in dentistry. Following graduation, Melena worked in the public health sector in New Zealand from 2019 to 2022, focusing exclusively on paediatric dentistry. It was during this time that she developed a deep appreciation for working with children and adolescents. In 2022, Melena decided to move to Australia’s Gold Coast and continued her career in private practice in northern New South Wales, where she worked until 2025. After taking a three-month break to travel and live in Japan, Melena has now happily settled on the southern end of the Gold Coast.
