Dr Lilly is the latest addition to our happy and growing West End Dental clinic. Her father is a very good friend and dental colleague of mine and she has grown up in the family dental practice and worked as a dental assistant during her formative years. She has since graduated from Orange University Dental School (OUDS ) with experience and understanding beyond her years. She is caring empathetic, enthusiastic and has all the latest knowledge and techniques in her skill set.

Dr Sandy McLean brings over 25 years of dental experience to Brisbane’s vibrant West End as owner and lead dentist at West End Dental. Previously principal of McLeans Dental in Brisbane CBD from 2000 until its sale to National Dental Care, Sandy has worked in the United Kingdom and, while based at Mount Isa, as Far North Queensland’s “flying dentist” for five years. He has also worked as a locum on Norfolk Island and in a pro-bono capacity for Aboriginal health services in Queensland and New South Wales. Sandy possesses a particular clinical focus on preventive dentistry. His breadth of experience and common sense allows him to provide the full complement of general dental services, as well as to discern situations where it is desirable to refer for specialist treatment. Sandy’s experience with smaller rural and Indigenous communities, and work treating children within the remote school dental service, have provided an appreciation of the difficulties in providing health care as well as the challenges faced by those living in rural, Indigenous, and under-privileged communities.
