I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland in 1996. Since then, I have made a point of attending numerous courses and keeping up with modern dentistry innovations. I have had vast experience throughout my career, working in government clinics, private practices, and in the UK. I am highly competent in all aspects of dentistry and pride myself on the results I produce. I have a particular interest in restorative dentistry and endodontics. I chose to become a dentist with the aim of providing quality care to my patients. Currently, I am enjoying working with a great team at National Dental Care, Gladstone, and like the professional atmosphere of our practice. I also devote time to being the President of the Australian Dental Association Gladstone Sub-Branch. I like to spend my spare time with my family, and I love all outdoor activities, especially fishing — I am an avid fisherman.

I have been in the dental industry for 28 years working in QLD Health, Private Practice and now at National Dental Care. During that time I have worked 10 years as a Dental Assistant, 18 years as a Dental Therapist and 13 years as a Oral Health Therapist.Having always wanted to work in the medical/dental field I started as a Dental Assistant after finishing school and progressed from there. I pride myself on being friendly individual with empathy and care for my patients.I enjoy both the dental therapy and oral hygiene areas of dentistry and especially like working with children.I’ve been a Gladstone local for 17 years and enjoy swimming, scrapbooking and being a mum to my 2 beautiful children.

initially started in the dental field as a dental assistant, after 6 years I decided to further my career. I have worked in a variety of Dental practices which have included periodontics, orthodontics, cosmetics and general practice. I aim to always have a positive impact on my patients’ dental experience. If it has been a while since you have had a check and clean I can help you maintain and improve your oral health. I am always updating my knowledge with the latest techniques and technology by attending various conferences annually.I love volunteering and utilising my skills going to 3rd world countries & enjoy family time.

Dr Sharon Timoney was born in the UK and graduated from the University of Leeds in 1995 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She has a wide range of experience in all facets of general dentistry and has a common sense approach to good family quality care. She particularly enjoys caring for children and anxious patients, and prides herself on having a pleasant and caring chairside manner. In her spare time she enjoys exercising in the outdoors and spending time with her two grown children, as well as exploring Gladstone surrounds and enjoying all it has to offer.
