Dr Filip Veljkovic completed his Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Masters of Dentistry at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2023. He has since been presented with the amazing opportunity to kickstart his career at Coastal Dental Care Robina Town. In his spare time, Filip enjoys running throughout the Gold Coast’s serene coastline, spending invaluable time with his family and girlfriend Bianca, and dining at some of the Gold Coast’s finest restaurants. Filip’s passion for dentistry was ignited following his father’s full mouth rehabilitation, where he was able to fully appreciate the impact oral health and cosmetic presentation has on one’s overall well-being. Filip understands the importance of being comfortable within your own skin, and that a strong, healthy image has tangible ramifications in all aspects of daily life. This is why Filip has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and is determined to provide you with solutions that will help you look and feel your best. Filip’s interests include root canal treatment and wisdom teeth extractions, since form and function go hand-in-hand when considering a patient’s oral health. He completed his Bachelor of Dentistry at Universidad de los Andes before successfully passing the Australian Dental Council (ADC) examinations in 2021. Since then, Dr Alvarez has been delivering high-quality dental care to patients, earning a reputation for his precision, professionalism, and compassionate approach. Early in his career, he developed a strong love of endodontics, which motivated him to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics), qualifying him to practice as a specialist in Australia. He continues his passion for the field by contributing to the Griffith University Postgraduate program, helping future endodontic specialists develop their skills, while also maintaining clinical endodontics in private practice. Dr Meijer is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of modern, technologically advanced endodontic care. He takes a modern, technology-driven approach to dentistry, using the latest innovations and evidence-based techniques to provide precise, high-quality care with exceptional results. Originally born in Taiwan, she has lived in New Zealand, Melbourne, and Sydney, and now enjoys being close to her husband’s family, who have called the Gold Coast home for over 20 years. In her practice, Dr Jessica enjoys all aspects of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, including Clear Aligner treatment, crowns, fillings, veneers, and cosmetic bonding. She takes great pride in helping patients restore and enhance their smiles, combining skill and artistry with a compassionate touch. Leonor began her dental industry journey in 2004, entering the profession as a dental assistant in Auckland, NZ. It was in this role that she found a passion for helping others, realised the role hygiene services played in the dental industry, and, most importantly, contributed to her patients’ improved dental health outcomes. Her passion for dentistry led her to study at AUT (Auckland University of Technology) for a Bachelor of Oral Health. She worked in private practice in New Zealand until early 2022, when she decided to relocate to Brisbane and enjoy the amazing Queensland weather and lifestyle. Leonor is especially interested in assessing and treating mild to moderate periodontal conditions and helping her patients improve their oral health. Leonor recognises that patient education is pivotal in influencing positive behavioural changes, creating sustainable, improved home care habits, and preventing periodontal or dental problems before they start. Leonor proactively keeps herself up to date by attending seminars, conferences, online webinars, and consistently seeking out further learning opportunities to expand her knowledge, particularly in dental hygiene. Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in practicing meditation, yoga, reading on various science and spiritual subjects, exercising, and engaging in social activities.
