  • Dr Nicolas Reid is a proud member of the Dharug nation, with his family’s heritage in the Liverpool area of Sydney. He is also an Adelaide-based general dentist, dedicated to serving underprivileged communities and advancing oral health research. Nicolas completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2018 and an Honours degree in Biotechnology from Flinders University, which he completed in 2009. Before transitioning to dentistry, he worked in microbiology research for six years. Currently, Nicolas is undertaking PhD research with the Centre for Population Oral Health, Indigenous Oral Health Unit, focusing on human papillomavirus (HPV) in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. He also works part time with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Central Operations), travelling to remote communities in South Australia and the Northern Territory to provide essential dental services. In the past, Nicolas spent three years as a dentist at Nunkuwarrin Yunti, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service
