Dr Michael Chin completed a Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in 1991 and also gained a Graduate Certificate in Computing Studies at RMIT University. Dr Chin joined Australian Unity in 2002 and works across general dentistry including non-complex cases of endodontic treatment, implant surgery and restoration, crown and bridge work, removable dentures, periodontal treatment, limited cosmetic dental treatment, some special needs treatment, extractions and non-complex surgery. Outside of work, Dr Chin enjoys listening to and watching live independent and alternative music, reading about historical and contemporary science, collecting Marvel comics and comic figurines, and putting his Computer Studies skills to work by tooling around with old 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit Apple and Commodore computers.

Dr Cecil Chow graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010, and has been practicing at Australian Unity for over twelve years. He has been an active member of the Australian Dental Association, mentoring final year dental students and graduate dentists over the years. He maintains a high level of professional development to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients and provides management of all aspects of dentistry ranging from; treatment of gum disease, crown and bridge work, root canal treatment, wisdom teeth surgery, implant surgery, and clear aligners. Born and raised in Melbourne, Dr Chow has a passion for keeping physically active and travelling around the world.

Dr Sandro Zammit completed a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1989 from the University of Melbourne. Dr Zammit joined Australian Unity 25 years ago and has worked across our Box Hill and South Melbourne clinics, before moving with Head Office to Spring Street and transferring some of his days to Moonee Ponds. Dr Zammit has an interest in all aspects of general dentistry, including Root canal treatment, crowns and restorative implant treatment. In his spare time, he enjoys riding and sports photography.

With more than 15 years’ experience in preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Dr Yiing is a passionate dentist who prioritises her patients’ interests and strives for excellence in quality of care. With an emphasis on providing patients with the best treatment options possible, she is focused on building long term relationships with her patients. Passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, Dr Yiing particularly enjoys general care, teeth whitening, fillings, crowns and bridges, dental implants and root canal treatments.

James Medara completed his Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2011 and his post graduate qualification from the University of Melbourne in 2017. Since graduating, James gained a wide range of experience across both the public and private dental sectors and has been with Australian Unity for over 9 years. James is also a passionate dental clinical tutor for the undergraduate students studying at Charles Sturt University. James has a gentle manner and caring approach to all his patients and always ensures he listens and understands his patients’ needs and circumstances to be able to provide the most appropriate treatment options and achieve the best outcomes. He enjoys practising all aspects of general dentistry assisting patients of all ages, with particular interest in paediatric dentistry and complex periodontal therapy and restorations. James is always on the lookout for courses and conferences to enhance his knowledge. Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife and keeping himself fit by going to the gym. He is also a keen rugby, basketball and cricket fan.

Dr Kapil Narang, graduated with honours from Rajiv Gandhi University, India in 2005 and holds a specialist degree in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. Dr Kapil has also authored various publications and research in the field of Endodontics. His interests lie in root canal treatment; however he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including cosmetic treatments. With a wide range of experience, his moto is building relationships and providing painless dentistry. Kapil has a calm and soothing demeanour and loves to have chat with his patients. He is gentle and caring in his approach and aims to empower patients to maintain their dental health and smile confidently. As a multilingual dentist, Kapil converses comfortably in English, Hindi and Punjabi, allowing him to provide a warm experience for patients from non-English speaking backgrounds. Outside of work, Kapil enjoys spending time with his family, playing cricket and tennis. He loves long drives and catching up with his friends.

Dr Davin Pinto obtained a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2009 and has been an avid practitioner of dentistry ever since. He is a passionate Box Hill dentist with an unwavering desire to acquire additional knowledge and insight in order to stay at the precipice of dental discovery and breakthrough. With over 11 year worth of solid clinical experience under his belt, Dr Pinto is able to provide a plethora of treatment solutions tailored to your needs and requirements. His meticulous perfectionism allows him to deliver the highest standard of care regardless of complexity. Lastly, Davin aspires to achieve bright, beautiful and healthy smiles through a minimally invasive, cost effective and pain free procedure.

Dr Unnikrishnan graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with a Bachelor of Dentistry (Honours) and has worked at Australian Unity dental since 2008. Her experience includes general preventive care, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, prosthodontics involving crown, bridge and dentures, oral surgery and restorative implant treatment. Dr Unnikrishnan takes a balanced and conservative approach in solving dental issues, seeking the best long-term outcome for patients whilst also taking into consideration patient needs and goals. Over the years her empathetic, caring and friendly nature has led to a loyal following of patients who trust her to deliver excellent care while making sure every dental visit is as relaxing and comfortable as possible. She is committed to providing the highest standard of care and continues to further her education by regularly attending professional development courses to ensure she is up to date with the latest technology and advancements in the industry. She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and alumni of the University of Sydney. Outside of work, Dr Unnikrishnan loves spending time with family and friends, trying new cuisines, scouring for vintage finds and planning her next adventure travel trip.

Introducing Dimitri, a compassionate and accomplished individual who recently completed their Bachelor of Oral Health from the esteemed University of Melbourne. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, Dimitri graduated with Honours, proudly earning a place on the dean's honours list. Additionally, his exceptional academic performance caught the attention of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapist Association Ltd, Victoria/Tasmania Branch, where he was recognized for achieving the highest aggregate grade in 2022. Currently embarking on his honours year research in the captivating field of oral medicine, Dimitri is driven by a genuine passion for understanding and enhancing oral health. With a specific interest in periodontology and a deep appreciation for the art of restorations, he possesses a remarkable skill set and a keen eye for detail. Having played soccer in Europe for several years, he has gained a wealth of cultural experiences that have greatly enriched his understanding of people from diverse backgrounds. This has assisted him in forging meaningful relationships with his patients. However, what truly sets Dimitri apart is his compassionate approach to patient care. He wholeheartedly believes in the power of actively listening and building meaningful connections with his patients. By lending an empathetic ear, he strives to provide the best possible treatment, empowering individuals to take control of their oral health.
