Dr Sujay Shah loves being a dentist. Growing up in a family of doctors and dentists, his career choice was an easy one. From his perspective, dentists are scientists and artists who combine the two disciplines to achieve extraordinary results for their patients. Seeing how good dental care can change someone’s life inspired him to choose dentistry.
Even after over 30 years in the field, Sujay continues to be amazed that every situation he encounters in dentistry is different. It helps to keep his brain active!!
Sujay handles all routine dental procedures with a particular interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He believes in full patient involvement with their care to ensure they have the information necessary to make an informed decision, tailor a plan to meet the patient’s dental needs and achieve results both can be happy with. The best part for Sujay is knowing he has helped someone feel better!
Sujay received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 1992 and then earned a postgraduate certificate in Implant Dentistry from Tipton Academy in the UK.
He has also done postgraduate work and training with specialists, including spending a year working with Dr Meshach Onguti in Kenya on a maxillofacial surgery unit in a referral and teaching hospital. Sujay regularly attends postgraduate courses and conferences in Australia, the UK, Europe, and the US to keep up with the latest techniques.
Outside of the clinic, Sujay enjoys all sports, especially football. He’s also passionate about skiing, getting out on the slopes whenever he can, and has recently taken up 4-wheel driving to explore the Australian Outback.
Sujay and his wife enjoy travelling and have been fortunate to see some amazing parts of the world. He loves the beach as well and is an avid reader.
