We are thrilled to welcome Dr Rima Sarker to the Scone community! Dr Sarker earned her MBBS in Bangladesh where she gained valuable experience as a General Practitioner in Bangladesh before moving to Canada. In Canada, Dr Sarker passed the rigorous Licentiate of Medical Council of Canada and gained valuable experience working alongside experienced Canadian GP's. Now, Dr Sarker is embarking on the next step in her career here in Australia, joining Scone Medical Practice through the Pre-Fellowship Program and registering with AHPRA. Dr Sarker is a compassionate doctor looking forward to providing care to the community of Scone.

Dr Akinsanya is a medical practitioner from Nigeria with over 22 years post qualification experience. Dr Akinsanya has been residing in South Africa, and will be offering his services in Scone and Murrurundi from the end of January 2026. Until deciding to move his family to Australia, Dr Akinsanya was running his own independent medical practice in South Africa since 2015.

Dr. Nay Chi Win grew up in Myanmar (Burma) and graduated from the University of Medicine, Yangon. Following this, Dr Win has been working at Mackay Base Hospital and Mackay Mater Private Hospital, where she worked as a rotational resident medical officer (RMO) for nearly three years, gaining broad experience across various specialties. Dr. Win has a special interest in emergency care, minor procedures, children’s health, women’s health, mental health, and general medicine.

Dr Soe is a dedicated and experienced medical professional. Her passion is caring for patients from multicultural backgrounds. Dr Soe is excited to be joining Scone Medical Practice as an Internal Medical Graduate under Level 1 Supervision. It is here that Dr Soe is looking forward to utilising her knowledge and skills to provider patient-centred care. Dr Soe graduated with a medical degree in Myanmar and an MSc in Healthcare Management from the University of Wales, UK. She gained experience in primary care and hospital practice in Myanmar, and later worked in clinical research and clinical quality and risk management across hospital settings in Singapore. Her interests include general medicine, mental health, and primary care in diverse settings. Dr Soe has recently completed a Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and contraceptive implant training to support her clinical practice. She has recently relocated to Australia and joined Scone Medical Practice through the Pre-Fellowship program with Rural Doctors Network. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening.

Dr. Hamideh Esmaeilnejad is a dedicated General Practitioner with extensive experience in family medicine. She grew up in Iran and obtained her medical degree there, She has also completed paediatric residency training in Iran, which has provided her with a strong background in caring for children and supporting families through different stages of life. Dr. Esmaeilnejad is passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centred care for people of all ages, with a particular interest in paediatrics and family health. Now embarking on the next stage of her career in Australia, Dr. Esmaeilnejad has joined Scone Medical Practice through the Pre-Fellowship Program with Rural Doctors Network.

We are excited to welcome Dr Sepehr Bazazzadeh (Dr Sepi) to the Scone community! Dr Sepi was born and raised in Isfahan, Iran, where he completed his medical degree at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. He undertook a rigorous internship during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and graduated in 2021. Since then, he has been providing care to patients from diverse backgrounds, with a strong focus on building meaningful connections and helping to alleviate pain and improve quality of life. Now embarking on the next stage of his career in Australia, Dr Sepi has joined Scone Medical Practice through the Pre-Fellowship Program and is registered with AHPRA. Outside of medicine, he enjoys leading an active lifestyle and attends the gym daily. He is a compassionate and dedicated doctor who looks forward to supporting the health and wellbeing of the Scone community.

Dr. Rana Ozcan completed her specialist degree in anaesthesia in 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey. After moving to Australia, she worked mainly in Emergency Medicine at Gosford Hospital in the Central Coast Health District, gaining experience in acute care. She has also worked in various inpatient and outpatient settings across different specialties. Dr. Ozcan is known for her caring approach to patient care, effective communication skills, and approachable nature. As she begins her role as a General Practice Registrar, her broad clinical experience and patient-centered care will be valuable to her team and patients.

Dr Kimpton grew up on the west coast of Tasmania. She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2003. She worked as a junior doctor on the central coast of NSW prior to commencing GP training. Dr Kimpton returned to Scone in 2010 and completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2013 and is now a principal GP and director of the practice. Dr Kimpton is actively involved in the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association. Her interests include Indigenous health, child health, chronic disease management and mental health.

My name is Naw Aye Myat Maw (Maw) and I’m originally from Myanmar. I relocated from Myanmar in 2024 and started working at Mackay hospital in Queensland as junior Resident Medical Officer. I moved to Townsville in 2025 to gain broader clinical experience and worked as senior Resident Medical Officer. I have a strong clinical interest in adult and geriatric medicine with growing interest in acute and emergency medicine. I have completed training in Implanon removal and insertion and am happy to talk with you about your contraceptive needs.

Dr Ali Naderivarandi grew up and graduated Medicine in Iran. He loves working as a General Practitioner taking care of every aspect of his patient's health. Dr Naderivarandi is an International Medical Graduate and commenced his Australian General Practitioner training in the Pre-Fellowship Program after obtaining his Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration, he is dedicated to providing a high quality service to his patients and he is very excited to join the lovely community of Scone.

Dr Tyrel Cromie is a Rural Generalist Trainee with advanced skills in Emergency Medicine. Tyrel is excited to join the Scone community, providing high-quality patient-centred care. He has spent the previous four years working at Tamworth Hospital, across numerous specialities, including Critical Care, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and General Medicine/Surgery. Dr Tyrel Cromie arrived from Canada in 2018 and completed his Medical Degree at the University of Sydney in 2021. He carries special interests including Critical Care Medicine, Chronic Disease Management along with Child and Adolescent Health. He is excited to continue his GP training in a community that welcomed him in 2023 as a Junior Medical Officer. Outside of medicine, Tyrel enjoys spending time with his young family and occasionally sneaking away for a round of golf. He looks forward to seeing you in 2026 and beyond.

Dr. Joseph Wong was born and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from the University of Dundee (United Kingdom) in 2006 and is currently completing his General Practice training. Dr. Wong has a broad and varied medical experience which includes advanced training in Paediatrics including the Sydney Child Health Program (University of Sydney), Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine (HealthCert), as well as experience working in intensive care and various emergency departments in Australia and New Zealand. His interests include child and adolescent health as well as chronic disease management

Dr Sanda Khine obtained her M.B.B.S degree from Myanmar and obtained fellowship in 2015. Before moving to NSW, Dr Khine worked in Launceston General Hospital in various institutions over four years. Dr Khine spent one year in Brook Medical Centre before arriving in Scone, where she has been practicing since 2014. She has a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma in Dermatology. Dr Khine is especially interested in emergency medicine, paediatrics, dermatology and aged care. She has recently become a GP supervisor for GP's in training. Dr Khine has also recently become a prinicpal GP and director of the practice. Dr Khine is well known in the community for her kindness and caring attitude towards her patients. In her spare time, Dr Khine enjoys nature walks and watching movies.

Dr McInerney is a graduate of the University of Tasmania. Prior to settling in Scone in 1995 he worked in London (2 years) Northern Tasmania (5 years) and North Western Western Australia (5 years). During the last 30 years, Dr McInerney has been heavily involved in general practice and hospital work including working in the emergency department, obstetrics, anaesthetics, and endoscopy services. In December 2025, Dr McInerney will be relocating to Launceston Tasmania. In 2026, he intends to return to Scone regularly and will continue to offer endoscopy and anaesthetic services at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone. Consultations for these services will occur at Scone Medical Practice and the Scone Hospital, and telehealth will also be available if required. Appointments may be organised in the usual way by contacting Krystal or Rona at Scone Medical Practice. Dr Lang moved here as a locum in February 2010 and enjoyed the interesting work and good company so much she stayed. With over 25 years experience as a GP Dr Lang's interests include GP Obstetrics, emergency medicine and all areas of general practice.

Angus was born in Orange, New South Wales and grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. He completed a Bachelor of Science at University of Sydney and subsequently a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney. He completed his internship at Orange Base Hospital and subsequent training years at Royal North Shore, Gosford and John Hunter Hospital. Prior to moving to Scone, Angus worked in Moree in North West NSW. Angus obtained his fellowship in 2021 and has completed an advanced skill training in Surgery throughout Hunter New England area including Maitland, Singleton and John Hunter Hospital. He has completed further training in Burns management at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney and Endoscopy at The Princess Alexandria Hospital, Brisbane. Angus performs the following surgical procedures at Scone and Muswellbrook Hospitals.
