Dr Carolyn Ross is a general ophthalmologist with subspeciality expertise in Cataract Surgery, Cornea and External Eye Disease and Paediatrics. Also, Dr Ross is the Senior Clinical Lecturer at Sydney Medical School, the Faculty of Medicine and Health, the University of Sydney.
Dr Ross trained at Sydney Eye Hospital and gained particular experience in complicated Paediatric Ophthalmology in her final year in the Professorial Unit. Subsequently Dr Ross completed a Fellowship in Cataract, Cornea and External Eye Disease at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide.
Dr Ross is a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney Private and St George Private Hospitals and is Head of the Corneal Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Dr Carolyn Ross is actively involved in teaching colleagues, trainee ophthalmologists, general practitioners and University of Sydney medical students. Dr Ross is also involved in collaborative clinical research projects and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Corneal Society and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Paediatric Special Interest Group.
