Dr Louise Stone, providing dedicated GP care to Mount Isa and surrounding towns rural healthcare practitioners

Dr Louise Stone is a Treating GP providing confidential healthcare to rural and remote healthcare professionals through the Rural Doctors Foundation's GPs4RuralDocs service. She delivers regular face-to-face clinics in Mount Isa and surrounding communities, supported by regular after-hours telehealth clinics every three weeks between the hours of 6 - 8.00 pm to ensure practitioners have ongoing access to care outside of standard working hours. With more than 35 years' experience in rural, remote and urban general practice, Louise has a special interest in doctors' health, mental health, and supporting healthcare professionals working in demanding rural environments. She is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a safe, confidential and supportive setting. Louise is an experienced GP, Professor, educator and researcher whose extensive qualifications include multiple postgraduate degrees, a PhD and Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, and the Australian Society of Psychological Medicine.
