Since graduating from the Technological University of the Shannon in 2019, Courtney has gained 2 years’ experience in multiple clinical settings, including private practice, emergency department work, and with various sport teams. Her love for treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries led her to completing her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2023. After this she worked in an elite physiotherapy and research clinic in Dublin, being exposed to multiple musculoskeletal conditions and working with semi-professional and professional athletes.
Courtney herself comes from an extensive elite sporting background, having played international basketball and obtaining a scholarship to play whilst completing her Masters, competing in tournaments in Hungary, Poland, Ireland and the UK. She has also played elite Gaelic football in Ireland, playing County with Cavan for many years. As a result, her clinical interests include athletic development, with a keen emphasis on sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and return to play/function through combining education with hands-on treatment techniques.
