My journey into naturopathy began with my own health struggles. As a teenager, I dealt with persistent skin issues, hormonal symptoms, allergies, fatigue, and anxiety. I followed all the conventional treatment options offered to me - topical medications, antibiotics, antihistamines, birth control and even roaccutane. While these approaches help many people, they didn’t fully resolve my symptoms or help me understand why they were happening.
Over time, I felt defeated, dismissed, and disconnected from my own body which led me to start searching for deeper answers.
Everything changed when I realised my skin wasn’t the problem, it was the messenger. My body wasn’t working against me. It was communicating in the only way it could.
At sixteen, I booked my first naturopathy appointment. It lasted two hours, and for the first time, I felt truly seen, heard, and understood. That appointment shifted my whole understanding of health and it became the moment I knew I was meant to help others in the same way.
I went on to complete a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) and became a registered practitioner with ANTA, training in evidence-informed herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, functional testing and holistic lifestyle interventions - the exact tools I once needed myself.
