Growing up in the Illawarra, James attended Wollongong High School and then went on to study a Bachelor of Optometry at UNSW, graduating in 1987. James worked in private practice until establishing Clarity Eyecare in 1996 where he has built a strong rapport amongst the local community resulting in a loyal following to this day. In 2015, James completed a Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics at UNSW and is fully proficient in all areas of optometry. James is an avid sports follower and is currently playing in his 20th year of masters soccer. James has a keen interest in hiking, fishing, football and will find him surfing most days of the week.

Cindy is a qualified and experienced Optical Dispenser. Cindy has worked in the independent optical industry for over 30 years, joining Clarity Eyecare in 2019. Having many years experience in edging and fitting lenses to spectacle frames, Cindy prides herself on her ability to assist in selecting the perfect frame to suit your face shape and lens design. In her spare time, Cindy loves attending yoga, meditation classes and loves kayaking on warm weekends. Fun fact: Cindy is also a qualified barista.
