Dr Max Humphreys did his Bachelor of Optometry at UNSW in the 1990s with a prior PhD in behavioural science at Sydney Uni, hence the title “Dr”. He spent several years as a farmer, as an academic, and as a researcher for NSW Traffic Accident Research Unit. Max is still called upon for his expert opinion in legal disputes involving road crashes. As an optometrist, his diverse experience gives him a unique approach to solving visual problems in everyday life as well as special situations.

Marlena Di Grac graduated Optometry with Honours from UNSW in the 1980s and has gained a further Graduate Diploma in Ocular Therapeutics. A passionate contact lens prescriber, Marlena understands how contact lenses can change a person’s life, giving freedom to enjoy an active lifestyle and boost their self-confidence. Marlena is enthusiastic about Indigenous eye health and enjoys travelling in tiny planes to remote communities, giving a quality of care many Australians take for granted.
