Driven by a passion for science and a genuine desire to assist others, Dr. Cindy Van (B.Optom, Class 1 Hons) found her calling in optometry. Fuelled by the motto of "being the best practitioner for our patients", instilled by an influential lecturer, her notable achievements include placing first in her second year of optometry, and graduating with First Class Honours among a cohort of 50.
Having personally experienced myopia, she developed a particular interest in myopia control. To prevent future generations from enduring the same visual degradation, she remains up to date with evidence-based practices. Building strong connections with her patients brings her immense satisfaction as she strives to provide them with the best possible care.
Currently, Dr. Van is engaged in further advanced specialty contact lens studies to assist a wider range of patients. This ongoing pursuit reflects her commitment to continuous professional growth and staying at the forefront of her field.
With a fervent dedication to science, empathy for others, and an unyielding thirst for knowledge, Dr. Van is devoted to making a lasting impact on the well-being of those under her care in the field of optometry.
