Emily Banks

Emily Banks is an experienced optometrist who graduated with Distinction in 2020. She has a strong interest in paediatric optometry, advanced dry eye management and ocular disease management, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. She has extensive experience in using advanced diagnostic technology such as IPL for dry eye management, OCT, corneal topography, ultra-widefield retinal imaging and visual field testing. In addition to her private practice work, Emily works with QUT, providing outreach eye care to Indigenous communities and conducting school vision screenings across Queensland. She also works within public ophthalmology, providing her with experience in the assessment and management of more advanced and complex eye disease. This broad clinical experience allows her to provide comprehensive eye care across a wide range of ages and conditions.
