Mina graduated from the University of Melbourne Doctor of Optometry in 2019 with therapeutic endorsement and was the recipient of the Inspiring Doctor of Optometry Student Award. During her studies she also completed a clinical externship at the Omni Eye Services, in the United States. Mina undertook further clinical training and successfully completed Advanced Certificate in Advanced Contact Lenses, Glaucoma and Children's Vision through Australian College of Optometry.
As a supervising optometrist, Mina contributed to the clinical training of Australian universities optometry students at the Australian College of Optometry and she also served as a clinical assessor for the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand (OCANZ) clinical optometry examination. She often presents at professional conferences and optometry professional articles, with the most recent presentation being at the 2024 Glaucoma NZ Professional Symposium.
Mina was a former committee member of ECOV/SA, an advisory committee of Optometry Australia, where she provided optometry education opportunities for early career optometrists in VIC and SA.
Mina has a calm and articulate demeanor with patients, putting them at ease. She has a special interest in advanced contact lens fitting for complex cornea conditions including keratoconus and corneal transplants, as well as other ocular diseases management involving dry eye disease, diabetes, glaucoma, and macula conditions.
Mina is currently also a Senior Optometrist at the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS) Hospital in Brisbane.
