Darren completed his optometry degree in 1989 from Queensland University of Technology, graduating with honours. After working in a small private practice in Brisbane’s southern suburbs he worked in the United Kingdom for two years. On returning to Australia Darren began his long association with Dennis Da Rin, locuming for him and others throughout Brisbane and regional Australia. In 1998 Darren took on a large role providing eye care to remote and regional Queensland from the Birdsville Track through the Gulf of Carpentaria and Cape York Peninsula. This was a commitment pursued until July 2013. In 1993 Darren accepted a full time position with Da Rin Optometrist, which allowed him to continue his passion for contact lenses and eye disease management. This was further enhanced by obtaining a postgraduate certificate in ocular therapeutics in 2006, which allowed Darren to better treat eye infection and manage glaucoma. He is a member of the Optometrist Association of Australia. Outside of work Darren and his wife have three boys and throughout the years Darren has continued to foster his love of music, playing saxaphone and other instruments at a professional level.

Lucy completed both her Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry with Distinction at QUT. She is a therapeutically-endorsed full-scope Optometrist with a particular interest in Paediatrics, and Contact Lens Care. Lucy is known for her friendly, personalised approach and for building strong patient relationships that help her deliver exceptional optometric care. Outside of work Lucy loves exercising, going to the beach with friends, and running her small business, LA Designer Hire – a designer dress hire studio. Lucy is grateful to be part of the Da Rin family, and looks forward to growing her passion for ocular health and spectacle fashion.

Patricia moved to Brisbane in 2019. Patricia studied Optometry at Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, and graduated with honours in 2013. She spent the following five years working in private practice in London, UK. She has a particular interest in ocular pathology and in 2017 she studied Ocular Therapeutics at London City University, she is a member of the General Optical Council UK. Patricia is an AHPRA registered optometrist and holds the Australian Graduate Certificate in Therapeutics. She has a flare for style and is a self-confessed eye-wear fanatic. In her spare time she is either walking dogs or travelling.

Nadine completed a Masters of Optometry (with Ocular Therapeutics) from QUT and has been a part of the Da Rin Team since 2015. Since graduating, Nadine has worked in both private optometry practices and ophthalmology specialty clinics in Brisbane, as well as continuing to provide rural outreach services in Longreach, QLD. This has allowed her to broaden her scope of interest in primary care, ocular oncology, and eye disease/red eye management. Her favourite part about working at Da Rin is the amazing team, and the wonderful balance of ocular health, and spectacle fashion. Outside of work, Nadine enjoys family & friend time at the Farm or Coast, and of course her evening Pilates sessions.

Jeff began his association with the DaRin group as an optometry student in 1996. Graduating in 1998 from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Science (Optometry), he then went on to private practice on the Gold Coast, before moving to Perth for 10 years. There he ran a busy optometric practice, with a particular interest in contact lenses. Jeff returned to Brisbane to start a family and re-joined Da Rin in 2010. He is a member of the Optometrists Association of Australia. Outside of work he is kept busy with his young family.
