Hi I’m Ally, I have been an Optometrist at The Eye Collective since 2021. Before graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2019, I completed my overseas clinical placement in OMNI Eye Services in New Jersey and volunteered in Sri Lanka. This humbling experience truly allowed me to understand that I can make a difference in the world by making things better for each individual patient that I see. After graduating, I worked in a well reputed independent Optometry clinic in the South Gippsland area for 1.5 years. Where I gained more experience and knowledge in the management of various eye diseases and ocular emergencies, prescribing therapeutics, children’s eyecare and myopia control Being short sighted for 15 years, I have always had a passion in myopia control and help slow down children’s progression for both vision and eye health reasons. I am currently in the process of completing my Advanced Contact Lens course to enable me to provide the best options to my patients. I take pride in delivering holistic care to each patient by taking the time to understand their needs and lifestyle. I’m also passionate in helping our global citizens who have recently moved to Australia to understand our unique eyecare system and make the most out of it.
