Mia studied at RMIT University, graduating with a double degree in Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) with distinctions. Mia’s passion for Osteopathy developed throughout her years of growing up playing sports and competing in Calisthenics competitions. This sparked Mia’s fascination of the human body, where she learnt the importance of preventing injury and maintaining bodily function through optimising healthy movement.
Mia understands the impact that pain and dysfunction can have on our daily lives, and strives to form a treatment plan to address all factors of the pain experience and lifestyle considerations. This inspired Mia’s holistic approach in managing acute and chronic pain, finding passion in assisting patients return to activities of daily living and achieve their goals. Acute and chronic pain may arise from poor posture, overuse, traumatic injuries, spinal and joint dysfunction, or arthritis. Mia aims to provide Osteopathic treatment to assist the body’s natural healing process and support its interrelated structure and function.
Outside of the treatment room, Mia enjoys a good gym routine, exploring the great outdoors, and searching for new cafes. Prior to joining The Osteo Collective she spent time in clinics in Melbourne’s north west and in regional Victoria.
