Escola Superior Saude da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa (Portuguese Red Cross University) Certificate in Phsiological Chains – Leopold Busquet Certificate of Physiotherapy in ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) Coming from southwest Europe (Portugal) and being a rugby player, you often will see me tanned and bruised. very early in my profession, I was part of an ICU team as a physiotherapist constantly working with mechanical ventilators. At the same time, sports and musculoskeletal conditions got my attention. I joined an Osteopathic and Physio clinic where I worked alongside an Osteopath and dedicated my time looking after professional and semi-professional athletes in all different sports: dancing, rugby, soccer, handball, and basketball. As someone who has been into sports since childhood, and with my background in musculoskeletal and biomechanics, as well as my work experience, I am able to comprehend various injuries and conditions. This is because I have also been on the receiving end of treatment many times before.
