I’ve always had a passion for staying active, having grown up trying my hand at as many sports as possible, with hockey and athletics being particular favourites. Originally from the UK, I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Physiotherapy. Physiotherapy has always been a career I’m passionate about, particularly the opportunity to help people achieve their goals and support them throughout their rehabilitation journey. I love the challenge of physiotherapy, as no two people are the same, and I enjoy getting to know each individual and tailoring treatment to suit their needs. Seeing patients progress, regain confidence and return to doing what they love is what makes my job so rewarding.

Sport and exercise have always been a huge part of my life having played cricket, golf, football (soccer) and tennis. Whilst more recently I have competed triathlons and various running races. Naturally this has presented with various physical challenges and injuries which I have had to deal with, giving me an understanding of how the body recovers and responds to different movements. The part I love most about being a Physiotherapist is working out what is causing the pain and being able to problem solve a plan to fix the issue. All this whilst getting to meet different people on a daily basis and being able to make an active difference to their daily lives. The feeling of seeing someone achieve their goal, no matter how big or small, is what makes being a Physiotherapist so rewarding.

What I love is that no minute is the same, no injury is the same, no body is the same and no goal is the same. We are all unique and designed to move as we have been established to. I enjoy being someone that people can share their lows with and celebrate their highs with. This is what makes me so invested in my clients journey. I love being a being a physiotherapist, however, my passion is about making sure that those that come to see me know that they are not on their own with their ambitions to achieve their goals. I make it my mission to give each individual the best experience at each visit. It’s important to go above and beyond, to support people through their low moments, show direction to their ambitions and then share their joyful achievements or milestones. To stand out, it is important to be different. Too often I see the downfalls to our society, where we are too busy to commit to our bodies. We are looking for a quick fix to move on with our hectic schedules. However, I like to treat the person and the true cause of the issue, rather than patching up an injury. This comes through breaking it down and looking at how the body works as one. This is achieved through movement principles, hand on treatment and a multifactorial framework, as we all designed differently.
