Movement and recovery have been central to Mackenzie’s life long before she started her physiotherapy career. Growing up playing high level touch football and netball, she have experienced her fair share of injuries – experiences that shaped her understanding of the physical and emotional side of physiotherapy and inspired her to pursue it as a career. Mackenzie graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Distinction. Also graduated as Dux of her cohort. Mackenzie values the opportunity to follow a person’s recovery journey from start to end in the private practice setting. Navigating all the challenges that come with recovery, she is committed to supporting people not just to recover, but to truly achieve their personal goals. She have a strong interest in musculoskeletal conditions, specifically sporting injuries. She has been working with these populations for the last 3 years doing sports trainer and physiotherapy work for Softball NSW and Touch football NSW. Tailoring her approach to provide a patient-centred care with both manual techniques and exercise, helping athletes get back on the field playing and feeling their best.

Rebecca is a Physiotherapist and works from our Penrith clinic. She graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Distinction. Rebecca’s vibrant and positive personality, coupled with her passion for physiotherapy, creates a supportive and encouraging environment for her patients. Her decision to pursue physiotherapy stems from a strong sporting background, having played both netball and Oz Tag. Rebecca’s passion for physiotherapy grew as she began her degree and was faced with all the different aspects and challenges the profession has to offer. Rebecca particularly enjoys working in the private practice setting, having to use her clinical skills and knowledge to help people reach their best outcomes and goals. Rebecca’s commitment to ongoing learning is evident in her experiences, including obtaining her level one sport trainer qualification and being a physiotherapy assistant working with both children and the older population. These varied experiences contribute to her well-rounded skill set and enable her to adapt her approach to different patient needs. These experiences affirmed Rebecca’s passion for working as a physiotherapist where she takes both a holistic and evidence-based approach to care, focusing on manual techniques and exercise to achieve the best outcomes.

Luke Trevillian is a Physiotherapist at our Penrith clinic. He graduated with Distinction from Western Sydney University, earning a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. In addition to his university qualification, Luke has completed his Sports Trainer Level 1 certification through Sports Medicine Australia and has gained valuable experience working with Touch Football NSW at Junior State Cup competitions and throughout the Vawdon Cup season. Luke’s passion for physiotherapy was sparked during his time as an elite young athlete, competing at a representative level in Touch Football, Athletics, and AFL. It was during this time, he also experienced a range of injuries, which led to many physiotherapy sessions as as well as his first interaction with The Healthy Body Company as a patient. This is where he learnt the positive impact a client-centred physiotherapy approach can have on an athlete’s recovery and optimise their performance during rehabilitation. Throughout his studies, Luke’s enthusiasm for musculoskeletal physiotherapy only grew stronger. He learned how a holistic, evidence-based approach to care can empower individuals to achieve their goals and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.

Chloe Wang is a graduate of Western Sydney University, and was awarded a Bachelor’s degree of Physiotherapy with Distinction. Chloe currently is a qualified Diabetes Australia Beat It Trainer. Dance and sports injuries piqued her interest in becoming a physiotherapist. As a physiotherapist Chloe enjoys how each person she sees with their own unique set of circumstances challenges her problem thinking skills, whilst allowing her to actively help people to achieve their goals. During her studies, Chloe was fortunate to have many learning opportunities around the world including London and Rotterdam. This is fuelled by her desire to immerse herself in different cultures and experiences. Chloe has grown a strong interest in paediatric physiotherapy after her time at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and working in a private paediatric physiotherapy clinic. She takes the time to make sure your family feels at home and there are lots of bubbles to play with! Chloe enjoys supporting patients with cardiorespiratory conditions. Prior to this, Paul completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Western Sydney University. In addition to gaining his university qualification, Paul is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). He has also completed the following courses: APA Dry Needling APA Sports Physiotherapy Level 1 Diabetes Australia Beat It Trainer Paul’s athletic background of soccer, cricket, touch football and oztag has been the catalyst behind his passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy. In addition to participating, Paul coaches at a representative NSW soccer level and has numerous soccer coaching qualifications, relishing the opportunity to pass on his knowledge and experience to younger players. Further to this, Paul is the head physio for Brothers PJRLFC Ron Massey and Sydney Shield teams. Stephen Cunningham is the Clinical Director of The Healthy Body Company and has been a physiotherapist for over two decades. Steve has a close association with NSW Touch Football Association and the Australian Touch Football Association and has travelled extensively both nationally and internationally with elite teams. However, Steve prides himself on treating every one of his patients with the same level of care and attention and many people have benefitted from his superior diagnostic and injury management ability. Steve works as a mentor for young physiotherapists who are motivated to develop their skills, and are passionate about the profession. Steve is a certified Pink and Steel Physio, supporting those undergoing treatment for cancer and cancer survivors to achieve quality of life outcomes. When he is not working Steve enjoys spending time with his family, including his four sons. He has been an elite athlete, with his athletic achievements including being a five time Hawaiian Ironman finisher and a seven time Australian Ironman finisher, including a third place in 1988. Steve has completed more marathons than he cares to remember, is a 5 time Six Foot Track finisher, has completed the North Face 100, and the Sydney OxFam Trailwalker, where his team finished in just over 13 hours. With his team he won Geoquest 2017. He has completed the Great Ocean Run (100k) Tarawera Ultra 100, the Cradle Mountain Run, Ultra Trail Kosciuszko Miler and the Snowy Mountains Ultra.

Jude is our Principal Physiotherapist at our Jordan Springs clinic. Jude is a local and was the School Captain of Penrith Academic High School in 2005 before graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2010. Jude’s passion for Physiotherapy stems from his love of sports. He currently plays soccer for Cranebrook Soccer Club and Basketball at Penrith & Districts Basketball Association and Hills Basketball Association on a Monday and Thursday night. Jude has been working in private practice since graduating. He has worked with numerous Physiotherapists both as a student and as a mentor. Jude also works with Regional, State and National level Touch Football teams and is the Medical Coordinator for Softball NSW. His goal as a practitioner is to provide high quality holistic health care to the local community. His aim is to ensure that every patient that walks through the doors of the clinic are looked after and provided with a tailored approach to their concerns. Jude is a “hands-on” practitioner, using forms of manual therapy, joint mobilisation techniques, dry needling and strapping with tailored exercises to suit each individual’s needs. Sport has always been a part of Steph Winchester’s life and she grew up playing multiple sports including netball, soccer, and basketball and she continues to play touch football at a representative level. With this involvement in sport Steph developed a keen interest in injury prevention and management. Steph Winchester graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014 from the Australian Catholic University. Steph joined our Caringbah team after working in a large private practice for several years treating a variety of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Steph thrives on helping her patients reach their full potential and has wide experience in treating both an athletic and general population. She utilises a hands-on and exercise–based approach to treatment, centred around the most recent evidence. Thomas (Tom) Hamilton, is the Principal Physiotherapist at our Mount Annan clinic where he heads up a team of local physiotherapists. Tom is a graduate of Western Sydney University having been awarded a Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) with distinction and Master of Physiotherapy. He excelled in his studies, earning a highly coveted place on the School of Science and Health Dean’s Merit List for 2012, 2013 and 2015. In 2015 he received the Dean’s Medal for outstanding scholarship. Tom has also received international recognition for his academic achievements with membership to the Golden Key International Honour Society. Tom started his career as a qualified personal trainer before transitioning to become a qualified exercise scientist. However, he soon realised his true passion was in helping people prevent and recover from injuries and his true calling as a physiotherapist. Tom joined the Healthy Body Company team at the end of 2015. In 2016, he won the Penrith City Youth Business Person of the year award. Nathan Duguid is a Senior Physiotherapist at Jordan Springs who first connected with The Healthy Body Company as a patient while attending St Dominic’s College. After graduating in 2013 with outstanding HSC results, he received an academic excellence scholarship to Western Sydney University, where he completed a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy with distinction. During his studies, Nathan earned recognition through the UWS Aspire Leadership Program and the School of Science & Health Dean’s Merit List in 2014 and 2017. Nathan has worked with athletes across touch football, rugby league, softball, netball, AFL, rugby union, triathlon and trail running, including Regional, State and Australian-level teams. He is also passionate about strength training and representative touch football. Nathan believes physiotherapy should be a partnership between therapist and patient, combining evidence-based treatment with education to support long-term health and injury prevention. Isaac Serhan has enjoyed a strong interest in sports from a young age, having played soccer all his life. His deep curiosity in how the body works and heals from injury has propelled him to pursue his physiotherapy career. Isaac loves supporting his community to recover from their injuries. Isaac graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from the University of New South Wales, followed by a Masters of Physiotherapy from Sydney University. While completing these studies, Isaac’s interest in sport and rehabilitation led him to work as a Personal Trainer for a number of years. He has Cert 3 and 4 qualifications in Fitness. Isaac’s physiotherapy career has been in private practice. His focus has been on helping people through all sorts of chronic conditions, along with more acute sporting and gym based injuries. Isaac has been fortunate enough to have worked alongside many health care professionals from different fields, developing wide knowledge.
