Clarisse is an experienced physiotherapist with a career spanning both Brazil and Australia since completing her Physiotherapy degree in 2004. Her diverse experience in private practice, rehabilitation, and complex musculoskeletal care has shaped her patient-first approach, recognising that injury recovery involves not just the body, but the mind as well.
Clarisse holds advanced certification in Global Postural Re-education (GPR® – Souchard Method), a highly specialised technique that has become the foundation of her clinical work. GPR® focuses on identifying and correcting postural imbalances while addressing the underlying causes of spinal dysfunction and chronic pain. She has also completed advanced GPR® training in managing cervical spine issues, TMJ dysfunctions, and joint pathologies.
Her passion for postural biomechanics, persistent pain, and individualised rehabilitation inspired her to open Realign Physio & Co—a space built on connection, clinical excellence, and genuine care. She envisioned a practice where patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported through every stage of their recovery.
Clarisse’s treatment style is thorough and deeply personalised. She avoids one-size-fits-all protocols, choosing instead to tailor her care based on each patient’s story, functional goals, and lifestyle. Her approach combines hands-on therapy, movement-based rehabilitation, and education to empower patients in their recovery journey.
In addition to GPR®, Clarisse has pursued further training in acupuncture, remedial massage, Muscle Energy Technique, Pilates, and PD Warrior (for Parkinson’s-specific rehabilitation). She also works closely with GPs, specialists, and insurers in the management of complex cases, WorkCover claims, and chronic pain presentations.
