  • Doctor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, APAM Kirstie is the Principal Physiotherapist and Director of SurfEdge Sports Physiotherapy. With over 15 years of experience in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Kirstie helps active people recover from injury, overcome persistent pain, and return to sport, work, and everyday life with confidence. She has a particular interest in sporting injuries, running-related injuries, tendon pain, bone stress injuries, concussion, and complex knee and shoulder rehabilitation. Her approach combines thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, and progressive strength-based rehabilitation to not only treat the injury, but address the factors that caused it in the first place. Outside the clinic, Kirstie continues to work in high-performance sport as a member of the Medical Advisory Group for Surf Life Saving Australia, providing physiotherapy services at major events including the Australian Championships, Coolangatta Gold and Lifesaving World Championships. She also serves on the Queensland Sports and Exercise Committee of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. When she's not in the clinic, you'll usually find Kirstie at the beach with her family, volunteering within surf lifesaving, or walking her corgi, Nacho.
