Bachelor of Physiotherapy, APAM
Nate is passionate about helping people move better, recover from injury and get back to doing what they love. He enjoys working with everyone from recreationally active individuals through to competitive athletes, with a treatment approach centred around evidence-based rehabilitation, hands-on therapy and empowering patients to take control of their recovery.
Originally from New Zealand, Nate completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago before moving to Queensland. Prior to joining SurfEdge Sports Physiotherapy, he spent over three years working in private practice in Charters Towers, where he treated a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions across all age groups. During this time, he also gained valuable experience in occupational health, rural outreach services, DVA, WorkCover and NDIS, before progressing into a Clinical Lead role mentoring new graduate physiotherapists.
Nate has a special interest in combat sports injuries and enjoys helping athletes safely return to training and competition. He has undertaken additional professional development in combat sports physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation, dry needling and occupational health, allowing him to manage a diverse range of sporting and musculoskeletal presentations.
Outside the clinic, you'll usually find Nate training Muay Thai, keeping active in the gym or exploring everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
