  • As a highly skilled and compassionate counsellor with years of experience in helping individuals heal from trauma, I bring a unique and empathetic approach to my practice. I am deeply committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients, where they can feel heard, validated, and empowered on their journey towards healing and recovery. I am a certified counsellor with extensive experience in trauma therapy. Over the years, I have worked with diverse populations, including survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, and those who have experienced other traumatic events. My diverse background and extensive training have honed my skills in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive. My counselling style is empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I strive to create a trusting and therapeutic relationship with my clients, where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I understand that trauma can deeply impact an individual's emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Therefore, I adopt a holistic approach that takes into account the unique needs and strengths of each client. I work collaboratively with my clients to develop personalised treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs and goals, and I provide gentle guidance and support throughout the therapeutic process. I understand that reaching out to a counsellor about your situation can sometimes be difficult. It may bring fears of what to expect and what the result will be. I am knowledgeable about the effects of trauma on the brain, body, and emotions. I understand that trauma can manifest in various ways, including anxiety, depression, dissociation, self-esteem issues, and relationship challenges. Therefore, I utilise evidence-based interventions that are grounded in trauma-informed care principles, such as creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, providing education about trauma, empowering clients with coping skills, and promoting self-care and self-compassion. I am dedicated to continuous learning and professional development. I regularly attend workshops, trainings, and conferences to stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy. I also engage in supervision and consultation with fellow professionals to ensure that my skills and knowledge are current and relevant. Helping individuals heal from trauma is my passion, and I am deeply committed to making a positive impact in the lives of my clients.
