Daryl is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist. He has vast experience working with a large range of clients in both urban and rural settings and has a particular interest in musculoskeletal, cardiac, metabolic, respiratory, neurological and mental health. Born in Australia and raised in Singapore. He has a background of competing in track and field in high school at the national level. Daryl moved back to Australia by himself to begin his studies at the University of Sydney to gain an exercise and sports science degree at the bachelor’s level from 2014 to 2017. Working with clinical populations by chance inspired him to take on a Master’s in Exercise Physiology, and in 2019, he moved from Sydney to Melbourne. Daryl firmly believes in the power of exercise as medicine to address not only physical ailments but also managing mental well-being, not only because of the studies he has collected and researched, but also through working with others and his own personal experience. Daryl is passionate about empowering others by sharing his knowledge, driving them to lead more fulfilling lives through intelligent and consistent effort. Daryl is keen to help clients, whether they appear healthy or are dealing with some form of acute or chronic injury, disability or illness.

Bryanna Armao

Bryanna is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist who holds a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology to become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. She also has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at Australian Catholic University (ACU). Bryanna has worked for years alongside Exercise Physiologists in ACU exercise clinic programs as well as aiding the development of these programs, running both one on one and group setting sessions. The experience Bryanna gained at ACU has enabled her to have obtained key skills in the professional allied health environment, making her an invaluable independent team player who brings about key results with her clients. She has experience working with diabetes clients and being involved and working with National Tennis Australia, plus ACU’s Future in Youth Program in East Timor. Bryanna has had a diverse range of exposure and experience working with people of both young and mature age. These experiences make her extremely personable and adaptable to the various needs of clients with varying challenges. Bryanna’s attention to detail and her ability to notice the subtle distinctions required in allied health, makes her a great practitioner. Bryanna brings a special touch to our uniquely qualified team, as she has a wealth of knowledge and is passionate about her client outcomes.

Abe Pearson

Abe is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist who graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He has experience working with a large range of clients including individuals with a diverse ethnic background, professional athletes, older adults, school-age children and people with disabilities. Abe has a particular clinical interest in musculoskeletal, cardiac, and metabolic conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes and the role Exercise Physiology plays in treatment and rehabilitation. Born in Indonesia and raised in Brisbane, Abe comes from a multicultural background and speaks Bahasa Indonesia and a little bit of Javanese. Abe enjoys participating in a variety of different sports including boxing, rowing, tennis, badminton, swimming, and beach volleyball, but his true passion is the world game (football/soccer). Besides this, he has also coached multiple youth football teams over the years and holds FIFA certifications for skill and game training. From personal experience, Abe is aware of the way chronic conditions and pain can affect a person’s ability to enjoy the things they love most and is eager to help individuals improve their quality of life through exercise.

Jeffrey Lau

Jeffrey is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist who graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Jeffrey has valuable experience working with a variety of clientele, including but not limited to older adults, alongside clients with extensive musculoskeletal and metabolic disorders. Jeffrey values the importance of exercise and strives to educate clients in incorporating an efficient exercise regimen within their already-busy lifestyles. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jeffrey moved to Brisbane at the age of 16 and decided to advance his career in Melbourne. Jeffrey speaks both Cantonese and English as his first language. He thoroughly enjoys a variety of sports and currently loves bouldering as his main form of exercise. Jeffrey is passionate in educating clients on involving exercise as part of their regime, through developing feasible and accessible exercise programs to help others fulfil their lives through increased exercise and health literacy. Nonetheless, Jeffrey is dedicated to sharing his experiences and knowledge in helping clients achieve the desired goals and favourable health outcomes.

Damian Walsh

Damian is an ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologist who joined Sage Active Clinic in November 2025. He is newly qualified, but brings strong hands-on experience across the NDIS, home care and chronic disease management, along with a naturally warm and upbeat personality that clients respond to immediately. He completed his Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University and gained practical experience treating people with musculoskeletal pain, cardiac and respiratory conditions, metabolic disease, neurological conditions and mental health challenges. His placements included Grampians Health, Physio Inq, the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and the Deakin Clinical Exercise Centre. Before becoming an AEP, Damian worked as an in-home carer, supporting people with daily activities to help them stay independent. He has held roles at a variety of clinics and has also volunteered for Cricket Victoria and Ormond Football Club. Damian is known for being genuinely friendly, positive and encouraging. He takes the time to understand each client’s goals, values and abilities, and makes every session welcoming, supportive and evidence-based. He has settled in quickly at Sage and is already building a great rapport with clients of all ages and abilities.
