Vision Eye Institute Hurstville
99a Forest Road, Hurstville NSW
Located in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, Vision Eye Institute Hurstville offers patients some of the most advanced technology available. Our highly experienced team of surgeons specialise in all forms of vision correction and laser eye surgery, including LASIK, PRK and SMILE®. We are one of the few laser clinics to offer Contoura Vision – a revolutionary topography-guided LASIK procedure, which provides improved speed, accuracy and patient comfort. This technology combines a femtosecond laser, excimer laser and corneal mapping tool, allowing each patient’s unique pattern of corneal aberrations to be easily identified and corrected. Our surgeons offer a total vision solution – this means if laser eye surgery is not an option for you, they can offer an alternative procedure (e.g. lens exchange, implantable contact lenses). Over the past 30 years, more than 45,000 procedures have been performed at our Hurstville clinic. We offer a FREE, NO-OBLIGATION initial assessment for laser eye surgery with one of our optometrists or orthoptists. During this assessment, we’ll perform some key tests to help determine if laser eye surgery may be an option for you. If it is, a consultation can then be organised with one of our eye surgeons (Medicare rebate available*). This surgical consultation will take up to 2 hours and you will receive detailed advice about the laser eye surgery procedure that is most appropriate for your situation, the benefits and risks of surgery, the cost and what to expect during the recovery period. This advice is specifically tailored to your needs (e.g. visual goals and lifestyle considerations) to ensure you are fully informed when deciding whether to proceed with surgery. There is no obligation to proceed with either a consultation or surgery. For your convenience, we also offer payment plans should you choose to have laser eye surgery. Because we offer the full range of vision correction techniques, some people choose to proceed straight to booking a surgical consultation* (without undergoing the initial assessment, which is just for laser eye surgery). *Medicare rebate for the surgical consultation requires a referral letter from a GP or optometrist. If you have a free laser eye surgery assessment at Vision Eye Institute, we will provide you with the referral letter.
