Dr Sunil Warrier is a Brisbane-based ophthalmologist with extensive experience in routine and complex cataract surgery. He offers his patients access to both standard and premium intraocular lens technology, including multifocal lenses. Dr Warrier consults at Vision Eye Institute Brisbane and operates at the co-located RiverCity Private Hospital, where he performs no-gap and bulk-billed cataract surgery. He is the Head of Department at The Mater Hospital in Brisbane and previous Director of Training for ophthalmologists in Queensland. Dr Jenny Tian is an Australian-trained comprehensive general ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in cataract surgery, pterygium surgery and glaucoma management. She holds an additional certification in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), which she incorporates into glaucoma management where appropriate. Dr Tian is committed to providing the highest-quality ophthalmic care to her patients with a warm and friendly manner. Dr Tian obtained her medical degree from the University of Queensland and later completed a Master of Ophthalmic Science at the University of Sydney. She completed her ophthalmology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and holds staff specialist positions at STARS Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital. Over her career, Dr Tian has worked at public hospitals in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Cairns. This variety in training locations has helped Dr Tian develop expertise across a broad range of ophthalmic conditions. With a passion for providing the most current evidence-based ophthalmic care, Dr Tian is a published ophthalmic researcher and regular attendee of annual scientific meetings. Dr Tian also shares this best-practice expertise by training the next generation of eye surgeons. Dr Tian welcomes all adult referrals, regardless of eye pathology.

Dr Simone Beheregaray is a highly accomplished, FRANZCO-qualified ophthalmologist with a wealth of experience across research and clinical practice at national and international levels. Dr Beheregaray’s impressive academic journey began with her outstanding performance at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, where she completed her medical degree. She later studied ophthalmology and earned recognition as a specialist by the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology. Dr Beheregaray was awarded the esteemed Monbukagakusho Scholarship, which enabled her to pursue a PhD degree from the University of Tsukuba in Japan. In 2015, she relocated to Australia. Dr Beheregaray has undertaken additional fellowship training across various ophthalmic subspecialties, including glaucoma (Brazil), cornea (Sydney Eye Hospital) and cataract and refractive surgery (The Queen Elizabeth Hospital). She has also completed the Fred Hollows Fellowship at Lions Outback Vision, WA. This extensive training reflects Dr Beheregaray’s commitment to providing the latest advancements to her patients. Her expertise encompasses cataract surgery (including the implantation of premium intraocular lenses), laser refractive surgery, ocular surface diseases, cornea-related disorders (including keratoconus and pterygium), crosslinking, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.
