If your back pain were simple, it would be gone by now. You’ve had the scans, tried more than one treatment, and it’s still shaping your days. That’s the kind of pain Tori works with, and she’s been helping people move better and hurt less for over a decade. “Persistent pain is real, it’s never in your head, and it’s not a life sentence. There’s always a next move. Sometimes it just takes someone willing to look at everything.” Tori graduated with Honours from Monash and has more than ten years across private practice in Australia and the UK. Much of that career has been spent designing and delivering programs for people living with complex, persistent low back pain: people who arrive having tried plenty, and leave with function, confidence and control gradually coming back. She has a particular interest in women moving through perimenopause, menopause and beyond, especially complex back and hip pain and the management of osteoporosis. Hormonal changes influence pain, strength and recovery, and Tori builds that into the plan rather than working around it, combining evidence-based physiotherapy with practical strategies that keep you active through every stage of midlife. She also runs our Midlife Strength classes, built for exactly this season of your body, so the room she’d like to see you strong in is just down the hall. Alongside all of this sits further training in women’s and pelvic health physiotherapy, including pregnancy and postnatal care, pelvic floor conditions and menopause-related concerns, plus advanced training in Clinical Pilates, so rehab can move seamlessly into guided exercise when you’re ready. Your first appointment starts with the whole story: what happened, what’s getting in the way, what’s been tried before, and what you want back. Then a thorough assessment, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and a personalised plan, so you leave understanding your condition, exactly what we’re doing about it, and the steps toward lasting change. Tori commonly helps with: persistent and complex low back pain, hip pain, osteoporosis and bone health, perimenopause and menopause support, pelvic floor conditions, pregnancy-related pain, post-surgical rehab, and Clinical Pilates. However long you’ve had it, it’s not too late to look at it properly. Book with Tori and bring everything, including what hasn’t worked. All of it is useful. HICAPS on the spot, no referral needed.

You’ve probably tried a few things already. Rested it, stretched it, waited for it to settle on its own, and here you still are: planning around it, warming it up before it will do anything, quietly shelving the runs and the classes and the sleep-throughs. That’s usually the point where people find Abi, and it’s exactly where she’s at her best. “I’m not interested in getting you out of pain for a fortnight. I want to find the reason it started, so it doesn’t get to come back.” That’s the difference you’ll feel. Abi completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, and she works the long way round on purpose: not just where it hurts, but how you move, what you’re asking of your body, and why this keeps coming back. Because when you fix the why, you don’t just feel better for a week. You get your things back: the run, the gym, checking your blind spot without bracing for it. She also has a special interest in headaches and jaw pain, including TMJ dysfunction: the kind that’s been making it harder to eat, sleep and concentrate. Most people never think of a physio for these. They respond well to the right hands, and Abi’s are the right hands. Here’s how your first appointment goes. Abi listens first: what happened, what it’s stopping you doing, what you want back. Then a proper look, an explanation in plain language, and treatment started before you leave, so something has already changed by the time you’re back at your car. You’ll walk out with a written plan that says what it is, what we’re doing about it, and what you can safely keep doing in the meantime. The heaviest part of pain is managing it on your own. After this appointment, you’re not. Abi commonly helps with: neck and back pain, shoulder, hip and knee pain, headaches, jaw pain and TMJ dysfunction, sports and overuse injuries, post-injury rehabilitation, and Clinical Pilates. It’s been hanging around long enough, and these things respond better the earlier someone gets onto them. Book the appointment and bring the whole story. HICAPS on the spot, no referral needed.
