Jack is a registered psychologist with experience working in youth mental health and neuroaffirming care. He has a particular interest in supporting young people and adults identify their unique strengths to not only overcome mental health challenges, but learn to navigate their world and thrive.
Jack’s approach to therapy is to create a safe environment where clients feel comfortable and accepted being themselves, whatever that looks like that day. Unpacking things together, Jack always aims to build therapy goals and plan the path forward collaboratively, and he will always take feedback seriously if something doesn’t feel right about the approach.
Jack tailor’s his approach for each person’s goals and needs, drawing from evidence-based practice such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Jack is known for his friendly, non-judgmental and collaborative approach as he works collaboratively to explore challenges his clients come in with. He has worked with clients across a range of different ages, cultures, and genders and will always endeavour to provide a high quality of care regardless of a person’s background or circumstances.
