Abbey Henderson - Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Abbey graduated from the University of Notre Dame (Western Australia) in 2022, with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since graduating, she has worked exclusively in a musculoskeletal private practice setting, where she developed a strong interest in pelvic health. In 2025, Abbey relocated to Sweden for 12 months and has recently returned to Perth, joining the Subiaco Women’s Health team. She is currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy at Curtin University, majoring in Continence and Pelvic Health. Abbey holds additional qualifications in dry needling and reformer pilates and is a GLA:D Osteoarthritis certified clinician. She is passionate about pelvic health and is committed to supporting women through all stages of life. Abbey takes a patient-centred approach, prioritising education and empowerment to ensure each individual feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their care. She also has a strong interest in treating women in sport, particularly long-distance running and swimming, reflecting her own sporting background. Having completed multiple marathons and the Rottnest Channel Swim several times, Abbey understands the physical and mental demands of endurance sport. This enables her to combine clinical expertise with lived experience to support women in returning to training safely.
