Abe is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist who graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He has experience working with a large range of clients including individuals with a diverse ethnic background, professional athletes, older adults, school-age children and people with disabilities. Abe has a particular clinical interest in musculoskeletal, cardiac, and metabolic conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes and the role Exercise Physiology plays in treatment and rehabilitation.
Born in Indonesia and raised in Brisbane, Abe comes from a multicultural background and speaks Bahasa Indonesia and a little bit of Javanese. Abe enjoys participating in a variety of different sports including boxing, rowing, tennis, badminton, swimming, and beach volleyball, but his true passion is the world game (football/soccer). Besides this, he has also coached multiple youth football teams over the years and holds FIFA certifications for skill and game training.
From personal experience, Abe is aware of the way chronic conditions and pain can affect a person’s ability to enjoy the things they love most and is eager to help individuals improve their quality of life through exercise.
